The SIP building system was introduced to the South African market over 10 years ago. The system has steadily grown through the years and been accepted in the housing, education and medical sectors as the preferred alternative to bricks and mortar.
The largest housing project done to date is 2,700 houses built in Delft, Cape Town. The panels were delivered with the Prefab Sprout Int plant and equipment delivery. The manufacturing process has undergone numerous enhancements over the years which has added further quality and security aspects to the systems. Notwithstanding, the project review over the years has been extremely favorable with minimal structural defects reported. The homes are built in a high wind zone, albeit not hurricane levels.
